GREENSBORO, N.C. – The league released the preseason All-ACC women's basketball teams Wednesday with Duke University graduate
Haley Gorecki one of 11 earning honors, following a vote of the Blue Ribbon Panel and ACC head coaches.Â

Gorecki, a 2019 All-ACC First Team selection, returns for her final season, after registering one of the best individual seasons in Duke history averaging 17.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.6 steals. A native of Palatine, Ill., Gorecki is the highest returning scoring in the ACC and 12
th among power five conferences. She became the third Blue Devil to register 500 points, 200 rebounds, 100 assists and 75 steals in a season a year ago. Â

Along with Gorecki on the head coaches All-ACC team was Kobi Thornton (Clemson), Nicki Ekhomu (FSU), Kiah Gillespie (FSU), Elizabeth Balogun (Louisville), Beatrice Mompremier (Miami), Elissa Cunane (NCSU), Aislinn Konig (NCSU), Janelle Bailey (UNC), Jocelyn Willoughby (Virginia). Mompremier was selected the preseason player of the year.Â

On the Newcomer Watch list was River Baldwin (FSU), Nyah Green (Louisville), Jakia Brown-Turner (NCSU), Sam Brunelle (Notre Dame) and Anaya Peoples (Notre Dame).Â

A total of 13 coaches picked Louisville to win the ACC as the Cardinals received 223 votes to lead the way. NC State (201), Florida State (201), Florida State (190), Miami (185), Notre Dame (159), Syracuse (150), Duke (143), Clemson (105), North Carolina (92), Virginia Tech (91), Georgia Tech (70), Virginia (67), Boston College (58), Pittsburgh (41) and Wake Forest (25) closed out the preseason poll.Â

The Blue Ribbon Panel Preseason All-ACC team featured the same student-athletes except Dana Evans from Louisville was included instead of NC State's Konig.Â

The predicted order of finish by the Blue Ribbon Panel was Louisville (713), NC State (637), Florida State (623), Notre Dame (580), Miami (578), Syracuse (497), Duke (432), Clemson (353), North Carolina (343), Virginia Tech (291), Virginia (229), Georgia Tech (225), Boston College (168), Pittsburgh (122) and Wake Forest (89).Â

Gorecki is one of five starters returning in 2019-20 along with nine letterwinners that will join a solid recruiting class in Durham. McCallie and the Blue Devils (15-15 in 2018-19) look to return to NCAA Tournament action, after missing out in 2018-19.

Duke will host its annual Blue/White Scrimmage Sunday, Oct. 20 at 2 p.m., in historic Cameron Indoor Stadium. It will be free admission and the team will sign autographs following the contest.Â
