PINEHURST, N.C. – For the fifth straight year, Duke University alumna Laetitia Beck has made it through LPGA Tour qualifying and earned her 2019 LPGA Tour card, after placing tied for 33rd overall in the inaugural LPGA Q-Series presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. The top 45 finishers and ties have received LPGA membership in Category 14 on the LPGA Priority List.
Beck, a native of Caesarea, Israel, carded rounds of 70, 77, 75, 75, 71, 69, 73 and 73 for a total of 583 over a span of eight rounds.
On the LPGA in 2018, Beck made 11 cuts in 22 starts with a season-best 10th place finish at the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic.
Fellow Duke alumna Sandy Choi just missed earning her card as she totaled rounds of 77, 75, 73, 72, 78, 70, 74 and 72 for a 591 ledger, which was tied for 65th. Choi earned Symetra Tour status for the 2019 season with her finish.
Jeongeun Lee6 carded an 18-under, 558, to win individual medalist honors.
The 2019 LPGA schedule will open action in January at the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic.
