DURHAM, N.C. – The third-ranked Duke men's golf team begins play in the 2018 East Lake Cup on Monday morning at the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. The tournament brings together the four semifinalists from last year's NCAA Division I men's national championship -- Duke, Oklahoma State, Alabama and Auburn.
The East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, which annually hosts the PGA Tour Championship, is home to this event for the fourth year. Modeled after the NCAA Golf Championships, the format for the East Lake Cup consists of an opening round of stroke play Monday to crown an individual champion and determine seeding for the following two days of match play competition.
Golf Channel will air live coverage from 3 p.m. ET to 6 p.m. of all three days of the East Lake Cup.
Duke's lineup in Atlanta will be senior Alex Smalley in the No. 1 position, followed by junior Chandler Eaton, sophomore Adrien Pendaries, sophomore Evan Katz and senior Shrish Dwivedi. Dwivedi is off Monday at 11:55 a.m. ET, followed by Katz, Pendaries, Eaton and Smalley.
