
Blue Devils Take Two at ITA All-American

TULSA, Okla. – The Duke men's tennis team turned in a successful start to the Saint Francis ITA Men's All-American Championships on Monday, winning both matches in the qualifying draw.
Junior Catalin Mateas, the No. 4 seed in the draw, defeated Jarod Hing of Tulsa, 6-0 6-0. Sophomore Nick Stachowiak earned an upset of USC's Thibault Forget, 6-2 6-1. Forget is ranked No. 96 in the Oracle/ITA preseason ledger while Mateas stands at No. 61.
The Blue Devil pair returns to action Tuesday with the second round of the qualifying draw. Mateas will take on Georgia's Walker Duncan while Stachowiak faces Indiana's Kevion Tabrizi.
