DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke women's lacrosse program will kick off its fall slate one week from today, welcoming High Point for a scrimmage Friday, Sept. 30 at 6 p.m.
The Blue Devils' fall schedule also includes play days at Johns Hopkins and Towson, as well as the program's annual Duke Fall Invitational.
Following next Friday's scrimmage against the Panthers, head coach Kerstin Kimel's squad travels to Baltimore Oct. 15 to take on Johns Hopkins and James Madison. Duke remains in the area the next day, facing Denver, Princeton and Towson at the Tigers' fall event.
The Blue Devils then return to Durham to match up with Florida in a scrimmage Saturday, Oct. 22. The following day will see the team host the annual Duke Fall Invitational at the West Campus Athletic Fields. Davidson, Elon, Florida, High Point, Jacksonville, James Madison, Longwood, Richmond, Virginia Tec and Winthrop will all be a part of the competitive field in Durham.
Duke returns 31 letterwinners and eight starters from its 2015 squad, which compiled an 11-9 ledger and made the program's 19th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, reaching the second round.
