DURHAM, N.C. -- The Duke University tandem of
Leona Maguire and
Lisa Maguire represented their home country of Ireland last month in the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Leona Maguire competed, while
Lisa Maguire was her caddie, and during this time they made memories that will last a lifetime.
Leona Maguire made the first birdie of the 2016 Olympics and went on to place tied 21st overall with rounds of 74, 65, 74 and 69 over the four days. Both Leona and Lisa sat down recently with the Blue Devil Network to talk about the Olympic experience.
Both twins will compete with fifth-ranked in the 2016 season opener Sept. 25-27 in the Annika Intercollegiate in Orlando, Fla.
