ATLANTA – Four Blue Devils were in action Friday on day three of the 2016 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at the McAuley Aquatic Center.
Duke was well-represented in Friday morning's 100-yard butterfly preliminaries with three swimmers qualified to compete. Sophomore Leah Goldman headlined the trio with a 24th-place finish (52.68) while junior Maddie Rusch was 34th (53.22) and sophomore Isabella Paez 46th (53.78).
Also swimming in preliminaries was sophomore Verity Abel, who clocked 1:48.85 in the 200 freestyle to come in 58th.
The NCAA Championships reach their conclusion Saturday, with Abel set to compete in the 1,650 freestyle, Goldman and Rusch in the 100 freestyle and Paez in the 200 butterfly. The Blue Devils are also slated to swim in the 400 freestyle relay.
Saturday's preliminaries begin at 10 a.m., followed by finals at 6 p.m. on ESPN3. Heats of the 1,650 freestyle will begin at 3:30 p.m.

100-Yard Butterfly: Leah Goldman (24th), 52.68
200-Yard Freestyle: Verity Abel (58th), 1:48.85
