Day Three at Nike Collegiate Invitational

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – The Duke men's golf team shot 292 (+12) on Tuesday in the final round of the Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational at Colonial Country Club, finishing the event in 11th place.
The Blue Devils posted a three-round total of 870 (+30). Vanderbilt won the event with a total of 839 (-1).
Senior Max Greyserman fired a final-round 68 on Tuesday to move into a tie for 30th place, leading Duke with a total of 217 (+7).
Sophomore Alex Smalley finished in a tie for 40th with a total of 220 (+10), while senior Matt Oshrine and junior Jake Shuman both tied for 42nd with totals of 221 (+11). Freshman Chandler Eaton rounded out the Duke lineup in a tie for 60th with a total of 227 (+17).
Duke's contingent playing as a B Team at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate scored a win on Tuesday, capping the two-round event with a total of 556 (-20) to outdistance the field by 27 strokes.
Senior Alexander Matlari and sophomore Shrish Dwivedi shared the individual medal with totals of 138 (-6). Matlari shot 71 (-1) on Tuesday, while Dwivedi fired a four-under 68 to mark his collegiate best.
Junior Adam Wood shot 72 (E) on Tuesday and finished third with a total of 139 (-5), while senior Andrew Bieber shot 70 (-2) in the final round to tie for fourth with a total of 141 (-3). Junior Ben Silverman rounded out the Duke lineup in a tie for 24th with a total of 148 (+4).
Playing as individuals, freshmen Harrison Taee and Steven DiLisio finished in ties for 48th and 84th, respectively, with totals of 152 (+8) and 161 (+17).
Duke will return to action later this month when it opens play at the United States Collegiate Championship in Alpharetta, Ga., on Oct. 21.
