Fourth-seeded and 16th-ranked Duke (22-10) advanced to the NCAA Tournament second round for the 22nd straight year as the Blue Devils took down 14th-ranked Albany, 54-52, Friday and Duke will next take on fifth-seeded and 12th-ranked Mississippi State (27-6) Sunday, March 22 at 12:00 p.m., in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Sunday's contest will be aired on ESPN2 with Tiffany Greene (PBP) and LaChina Robinson (Color). It will also be carried live on the Blue Devil IMG Sports Network on WDNC 620 AM, 99.3 FM, 96.5 FM and www.GoDuke.com with Steve Barnes (PXP) and Morgan Patrick (Color) on the air.
Duke and Mississippi State are seeded in the Spokane Region and the winner will advance to the NCAA Sweet 16, which will take place Saturday, March 28 in Spokane, Wash.
The Blue Devils have won 19 out of the last 20 home NCAA Tournament games. Duke holds a 22-game winning streak in NCAA Tournament first round games, while Joanne P. McCallie has led her teams to 12-straight opening round tournament wins. The 22-game streak is the longest in the ACC (Florida State, 11).
Duke will bring a 13-game home court winning streak into Sunday's game, while also boasting a four-game winning streak in Cameron against ranked opponents.
