Coming off a break for the Christmas holiday, the 12th-ranked Duke women's basketball team (9-3) will close non-conference action with two home contests in a span of three days in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The Blue Devils will host Western Carolina (3-8) Tuesday, Dec. 29 at 7 p.m., followed by a New Year's Eve afternoon contest against UNC Wilmington at 2 p.m., on Dec. 31.
Both games will be aired live on the Blue Devil Network Plus via www.GoDuke.com.
Tuesday's game will also carried on the Blue Devil IMG Sports Network on WDNC 620 AM, 99.3 FM, 96.5 FM and www.GoDuke.com with Steve Barnes (PXP) and Morgan Patrick (Color) on the air beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Duke will open a week in which the Blue Devils will play three games over six days, including the ACC opener at Syracuse Sunday, Jan. 3.
What is Next?... Duke will close non-conference action Thursday, Dec. 31 at 2 p.m., against UNC Wilmington.
Storylines/Other Blue Devil Notes... • Duke owns a 149-game winning streak at home against unranked opponents. The Blue Devils have also won 78-straight home games against unranked non-conference opponents.
• The Blue Devils are currently ranked No. 7 in the latest NCAA RPI -- UConn, Southern California, Stanford, Notre Dame, Kentucky, Tennessee, Duke, South Carolina, Baylor and Green Bay.

Azurá Stevens has pulled down an ACC-best 49 offensive rebounds on the year. Her 32 points (tied), 16 rebounds and eight blocks are ACC bests on the season.
• In the nine games won by the Blue Devils, the squad has averaged 45.7 rebounds and a 13.9 rebounding margin. In the three losses, Duke has averaged 39.3 rebounds and a -0.7 margin.

Azurá Stevens currently ranks 13th nationally in double-doubles (6), 26th in blocks (2.5), 56th in field goal percentage (53.9), 53rd in rebounds (9.3) and 47th in points per game (18.6). Her 90 field goals made ranks 14th nationally.

Angela Salvadores currently ranks tied eighth in the ACC averaging 3.9 assists per game. It is the highest among rookies in the league. Her 3.9 average also ranks 19th nationally among rookies.

A Look at Western Carolina... WCU enters the game Tuesday with a 3-8 overall record, including a four-game losing streak. The Catamounts are led by Ace Easter (9.4 points, 10 treys) on the year.
The Series with Western Carolina... Duke begins its final non-conference homestand on December 29 as Western Carolina travels east to battle the Blue Devils.
The all-time series is all tied at three games apiece. However, the Blue Devils have won each of the last three games against the Catamounts, most recently a 117-44 home win on February 9, 1994.
Western Carolina's last win over Duke came in an 89-78 contest in 1979 in Cullowhee, N.C.
Duke Against the Southern Conference... Duke owns an 18-5 record all-time against teams from the Southern Conference—Furman (4-0), Samford (1-0), UNCG (10-2) and Western Carolina (3-3).
The Blue Devils have won 14 games in a row against Southern Conference teams. The last loss was against Western Carolina in 1979.

Primm Impressive on Big Stage... Freshman
Crystal Primm was very impressive on the big stage at eighth-ranked Kentucky as she notched a career-high 15 points, four rebounds and one assist in 23 minutes.
Primm hit 6-of-7 field goals and 3-of-4 free throws in the game. She started the first four games of the season and has come off the bench ever since.
Cooper Done for Rest of 2015-16... Duke head women's basketball coach
Joanne P. McCallie announced Dec. 19 that forward
Kendall Cooper will not be enrolled at the institution for the spring, 2016 semester. She will be eligible to return to Duke in the fall of 2016.
A product of Carson, Calif., Cooper had seen action in all 11 contests averaging 3.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.2 blocks.
Greenwell Goes Off Against Liberty... Redshirt sophomore
Rebecca Greenwell exploded for a career-high 26 points against Liberty as she drained a career-high nine field goals on 18 attempts. In 30 minutes, Greenwell hit 4-of-8 treys, while also matching a season high with eight rebounds.
It marked the second 20+ point game of the season and ninth of her career.
Greenwell came back in the next game and was held to a career-low one point at eighth-ranked Kentucky as she was held without a field goal for the first time in her career (0-6).
Youthful Starters... Blue Devil head coach
Joanne P. McCallie continues to show Duke has eight or more players that can start a game. McCallie has used seven different starting lineups on the year.
A total of 11 of the 13 players on the team have started at least one game this season.

It's not about who starts the game, but who finishes according to McCallie.
Belton Makes Impact... In her first collegiate start versus UMass,
Lyneé Belton came up big matching a career high with 10 points along with pulling down a season-high six rebounds in 24 minutes.
Belton has started three straight games and has averaged 5.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals in those games. She hit 8-of-15 field goals in those games.
She made her season debut against Army Nov. 22 as she saw action in 10 minutes, while collecting four points and one rebound. She hit 2-of-3 field goals.
Belton had been recovering from a torn ACL suffered Dec. 17, 2014 versus Oklahoma.
Tough Against the Trey... Over the last seven games, the Duke defense has held opponents to only 27-of-148 from downtown for only an 18.2 percentage.
The Blue Devils now rank tied first in the ACC and sixth nationally with a 23.0 three-point field goal percentage defense. Duke allowed 19 treys against Army and Idaho, but in the last seven contests have allowed only 27.

Duke owns the highest scoring tandem in the ACC with
