Angela Salvadores added 12 to help Duke top the 70-point mark for the second time in as many games. The Blue Devils were also sharp on the defensive side of the ball, grabbing a season-best 16 steals and notching 28 points off of 24 Liberty turnovers.
Duke opened up with a 9-4 advantage but went cold from the field for a short stretch, allowing the Flames to take the lead toward the end of the first period. However, a pair of layups by Salvadores put the Blue Devils in front by three heading into the second quarter.
Duke then took off on a 21-0 scoring burst that stretched the score to 42-15 with two minutes remaining in the half. The Blue Devils displayed a balanced offensive effort during the run, led by seven points from freshman
Kyra Lambert, and forced Liberty into six turnovers. Duke also limited the Flames to 2-of-16 from the field during the second frame to take a 44-17 lead into the locker room at the intermission.
The Blue Devils' 29 points in the second period were their most in a second quarter so far this season.
Greenwell nabbed a steal and dropped in a layup to start the second half, giving her a game-high 15 points. Duke continued to capitalize on Liberty turnovers, with Greenwell recording a season-high four steals and Stevens grabbing three for the second straight contest. The Blue Devils' stingy defensive play held the Flames below 30 points through nearly three quarters, taking a 28-point advantage into the final period.
Stevens nailed a three-pointer at the beginning of the fourth quarter and Greenwell followed suit with her third trey a short while later on a Salvadores assist. Duke kept things rolling offensively, outscoring Liberty 20-10 in the final 10 minutes to cruise to the victory.
Salvadores matched a season-high with eight assists, dishing four in each half. Junior
