Sophomore Jeremy Ebobisse stopped his 10-game goal scoring drought Saturday with Duke's lone goal in the 1-0 win at Pittsburgh ... The Maryland native had five goals in the first five games before hitting a dry spell ... He is second on the team in goals (6) and points (16).
Last Time We Met
Brody Huitema tallied a goal and an assist to lead the Blue Devils to a 2-0 win at Virginia Tech last season ... Brian White registered the second goal and Wilson Fisher made four saves in goal.
Mathers - Duke's Utility Man
Senior captain Zach “Chachi” Mathers has played in all thirds of the field during his career ... Prior to this season, Mathers spent much of his time at center back ... The first half of 2015, Mathers lined up in the attacking midfield spot and most recently he has played in more of a striker position ... He returned to the defense against Jacksonville and registered an assist ... The Texas native has started 67 games for the Blue Devils and owns 13 goals and 15 assists for 42 points.
