#DukeWLAX20th Celebration Set for This Weekend

DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke women's lacrosse program is set to commemorate its 20th anniversary with a celebration weekend Friday and Saturday in Durham. The schedule of events is highlighted by the 20th Anniversary Gala Saturday evening at the Washington Duke Inn.
The weekend kicks off Friday at 5 p.m. with a recently announced scrimmage between the 2016 Blue Devil squad and in-state opponent Elon on Duke's Grass Practice Field. The Phoenix are coached by former Blue Devil associate head coach Josh Hexter. Parking for the scrimmage will be available in the Jogging Trail Lot along 751/Cameron Blvd. Please see the attached image for a map of the parking area.
The Blue Devil coaching staff will host a Meet and Greet from 8-10 p.m. in the Washington Duke Inn's Bull Durham Bar & Grille.
Saturday morning's Alumni Game will begin at 11 a.m. at the Grass Practice Field. All former players are invited to suit up for the contest. A tailgate at Skandalaris Pavilion in Koskinen Stadium will follow, as well as a Future Blue Devils game for children at 12:30 p.m. on the Grass Practice Field. Members of the current team will then lead tours of campus beginning at 1 p.m.
Alumnae, family and friends attending Saturday's festivities should be advised of a parking and traffic alert in effect for the day. Parking will be available in the Jogging Trail Lot free of charge until 4 p.m.
Check-in for Saturday evening's 20th Anniversary Gala will begin with a reception at 6 p.m. in the Washington Duke Inn Ambassadors Ballroom. Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on items such as Duke men's basketball tickets, Wrightsville Beach house rental, Washington Duke Inn stay and more. The dinner and program will follow at 7 p.m. in the Ambassadors Ballroom.
