Jahlil Okafor's season-high 28 points against Boston College set a Duke freshman record for most points in an ACC season opener. It was also the 13th time a Duke freshman scored 28 or more points in a game.
• Okafor set a Duke freshman record for made free throws with 14. Kyrie Irving previously held the record with 13 made free throws on Dec. 1, 2011 against Michigan State. Okafor attempted 17 free throws, tying Austin Rivers for the freshman record.
• Okafor scored his first 23 points on 6-of-9 field goal attempts and 11 made free throws, making him the seventh freshman in program history to score 20-or-more points on nine-or-fewer field goal attempts.
• Okafor made 12 field goals against Toledo on Dec. 29, marking the second game of the season that he converted 12 shot attempts. Okafor joined Gene Banks as the only other freshman in Duke history to make 12 field goals in a game twice in the same season, and the first to do so in the same calendar year.
Women's BasketballElizabeth Williams• Pulled down eight rebounds against Wake Forest to move into fourth on Duke's all-time rebounding list with 905.
• Has now moved into fifth on Duke's all-time field goals made list with 677.
• With her eight free throw attempts against Wake Forest, moved into fifth on Duke's all-time free throws attempted list with 491.
• With her six blocks against Wake Forest, now needs 62 swats to break the ACC all-time mark held by Alison Bales (434). She also moved into tied 14th place on the NCAA all-time blocks list with 373 blocks.
• In the contest against N.C. A&T, Williams slid into eighth on Duke's all-time points list and now owns 1,658 points.
Rebecca Greenwell• Owns four double-doubles on the season to already rank tied for fifth on the Duke freshman record books. Her four double-figure rebound games also rank tied for fifth.
Azurá Stevens• Has totaled three double-doubles on the season to rank tied for seventh on the Duke freshman record books. Her four double-figure rebound games also rank tied for fifth.
