DURHAM, N.C. – Sydney Peterson, a 2014 graduate of Duke, has signed with Team STX, as announced Wednesday, July 17 by Baltimore-based sporting goods company STX. Peterson will be an attacker on Team STX, the first elite post-collegiate women's lacrosse team.
Peterson and seven other new signees will join the 16 players from last year's inaugural Team STX squad. As members of Team STX, the athletes will compete at the highest levels of women's lacrosse, lead youth camps and clinics and help to expand the reach of the game.
As a starter on the Blue Devil attack in 2014, Peterson ranked third in goals (27) and was tied for second in assists (13) and points (40). She notched six hat tricks on the season and turned in four multiple-assist games while concluding her collegiate career with 47 points (32g, 15a). The Towson, Md., native was also a member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
