STROMAN EMERGING AS ONE OF TORONTO'S TOP ARMS
Despite a rough outing Wednesday versus the Angels (he allowed six runs, five earned, over 3.2 innings), Marcus Stroman is a highly prized commodity and Blue Jays' general manager Alex Anthopolous is well aware as trade discussions heat up heading to the July 31 trade deadline. Don't expect Anthopoulos to move Stroman just yet as the 5-9 is righty is emerging as one of the Blue Jays' top arms.

“His stuff is right up there,” Toronto catcher Dioner Navarro said. “I've caught quite a few good pitchers and stuff-wise I think he's got pretty electric stuff. All he needs to do is continue to mature and take advantage of every start he gets. He could be one of the most dominating guys in the game.”
HASSAN STAYS HOT FOR PAWTUCKET RED SOX
Over his past 10 games, outfielder Alex Hassan is batting .333 with the Pawtucket Red Sox, registering a hit in nine of those contests while contributing multiple hits on four occasions. His RBI double in the eighth inning of Pawtucket's 3-1 win over Columbus accounted for the Sox's final run of the game. Tuesday, Hassan added an RBI single in the sixth to tie the score at 2-2 in what was eventually a 5-3 Pawtucket victory.
