INDIVIDUAL NOTES• Redshirt senior quarterback
Anthony Boone improved to 18-1 as a starting quarterback in regular-season games.
• Boone's 18 wins as a starting quarterback are the most in program history, one more than Jerry Barger (1951-54/17).
- Boone's eight wins this season are tied for the second most by a Duke quarterback, trailing only his nine wins from 2013.
• Boone's overall winning percentage of .857 is best among Duke quarterbacks, just ahead of Worth Lutz's .846 mark.
• Boone threw two touchdown passes against Syracuse and has five in the last two games after having two in the previous four games combined.
• Boone threw 28 passes today before his interception. He had tossed 127 consecutive passes without a pick, the sixth longest run in program history.
- The stretch was also the longest of Boone's career.
• Boone's 15 completions gave him 466 for his career, moving him into seventh on the Duke all-time chart.
Sean Renfree (2009-12) owns the program record with 898 completions.
• Senior wide receiver/punt returner
Jamison Crowder returned a punt 52 yards for the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter. It was Crowder's third career punt return for a score and first since an 82-yard return against Pittsburgh in 2013.
- The touchdown was Crowder's 25th in his career (21 receiving, one rushing, three returning).
• Crowder hauled in 9 passes for 58 yards. He now has 256 career receptions, trailing only former Blue Devil
Conner Vernon (2009-12/283 catches) for the all-time ACC and school records.
• The 58 yards pushed Crowder's total to 3,291, good for seventh on the ACC career chart. Vernon owns the league and Duke records with 3,749 yards.
• Crowder extended his consecutive games streak with two or more receptions to 37. The mark is the second longest streak among active NCAA receivers, trailing only East Carolina's Justin Hardy, who owns 44 consecutive games with two or more receptions.
• In Crowder's last three games, he has caught 20 passes for 322 yards after having 10 receptions for 76 yards in the previous two contests.
• Crowder finished with 116 all-purpose yards to become the 11th player in ACC history to reach the 5,000-yard plateau. Crowder sits 10th on the league's career chart with 5,064 yards.
- Crowder is the 11th player in ACC history with 5,000 or more all-purpose yards.
• Redshirt senior wide receiver
Issac Blakeney caught two touchdown passes, tying his career high set versus Elon in the season opener. He finished with a career-high 94 yards on three catches His 54-yard touchdown reception is tied for the longest of his career.
• Blakeney's second TD was a 54-yard strike, good for Duke's longest pass play of the season. Blakeney also owns the second-longest play with a 49-yard pass at Troy in week two.
• Senior linebacker
David Helton tallied seven tackles, including one assist.
- He entered the game ranked fourth among active FBS players in career assisted tackles with 193.
- Helton also began the contest leading the ACC in tackles per game this season with 10.88.
• Helton's seven tackles increased his career total to 307, the 15th most in program history. Mike Junkin (1983-86) owns the Duke record with 513 stops.
• Helton recorded a three-yard sack of Mitch Kimble in the second quarter. Helton owns 2.0 sacks this year, his most in a season in his career.
• Sophomore cornerback
Breon Borders intercepted his first pass of the season, and fifth of his career, in the second quarter.

Bryon Fields booked eight tackles, one shy of his season high.
• Redshirt senior linebacker
C.J. France booked five tackles to bring his total in the last three games to 24. In the season's previous six contests, France had just nine stops.
• Redshirt senior defensive end
Dezmond Johnson tied his career high with two tackles for lost yardage, both in the first quarter.
• Redshirt sophomore safety
DeVon Edwards booked seven tackles. Edwards has seven or more stops in every game this season.
• Junior kicker
Ross Martin, the Duke career PAT record holder, converted three PATs and has made 101 consecutive PATs, extending his school record.
- Martin has scored at least one point in 36 straight games.
• Martin made two field goals in two attempts to move into a tie with Will Snyderwine (2009-11) for the second most in Duke history. Sims Lenhardt (1996-99) holds the record with 55 made field goals.
- Martin is 13-for-13 in field goals this year. He entered the game as one of five FBS kickers without a miss in 2014.
- Martin has made at least one field goal in all nine games this season.
• Martin kicked three extra points to lift his season total to 38, tied for the fourth most in a single season in Duke history. Martin owns the single-season record with 58 PATs in 2013.
• Junior punter
Will Monday booted his 10th punt of 50 or more yards in the last five games.
• In the last five games, Monday has also dropped 12 punts inside the 20-yard line.
• Senior offensive lineman
Laken Tomlinson started his 48th straight game, tied with four others for the longest streak among active NCAA FBS linemen.
TEAM NOTES• With the win, Duke improved to 8-1 overall. It is the Blue Devils' best record through nine games since going 8-1 in 1994.
- Since 1940, Duke has started 8-1 just three other times (1994/8-1; 1943/8-1; 1941/8-1).
• With the victory, Duke has started consecutive years with a 7-2 or better record for the first time since a nine season stretch 1933-41.
• Duke has won eight games in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1938 (nine) and 1939 (eight).
- It is the 16th season with eight or more wins in Duke history, and just the sixth since 1960.
• Duke improved to 4-1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, its best ACC mark through five games since going 4-1 in 1994.
- Since joining the ACC in 1953, it is Duke's 10th time having a record of 4-1 or better through five league games.
- Duke has won 10 ACC games in the last two seasons, one more than under head coach
David Cutcliffe during his first five years.
• The Blue Devils have won 10 of their last 11 ACC contests, the best stretch for the program since a 12-0 run from Oct. 28, 1961 – Oct. 19, 1963.
• The Blue Devils have won 10 ACC games in the last two years. It is the highest combined league win total during a two-year stretch since claiming 11 in 1962 (six) and 1963 (five).
• With the win, Duke is 6-0 in its last six November contests. The Blue Devils had been 1-19 in November under Cutcliffe before going 4-0 in November of 2013.
• With the triumph, Duke improves to 90-36-5 as a ranked team and 4-2 when playing as a ranked foe under Cutcliffe.
• Duke has won two or more games as a ranked team in consecutive years for the first time since the 1954-55 seasons.
• With the victory, Duke has won eight of its last nine road games. The Blue Devils' 22-10 loss at Miami on Sept. 27 is the only setback during the stretch.
- Within the ACC, the Blue Devils have won seven of their last eight road games, the program's best stretch since going 10-1-1 during a 12 contest stretch from Sept. 19, 1953 – Oct. 26, 1957.
• Duke has outscored opponents 160-92 in the first half of games through the first nine contests.
• By scoring 27 points, the Blue Devils pushed their season total to 313. The points are the second most through nine games in program history. 1943 – 335
• The Blue Devils scored 27 points to bring their total in the last two games, both road contests, to 78. Duke entered the game at Pittsburgh last Saturday averaging 25.00 points per road game in 2014.
• The Blue Devils have scored in 33 of 36 quarters this season. The only three scoreless quarters were the first and fourth at Miami on Sept. 27 and the third quarter of today's game.
• Duke's second-quarter touchdown drive covered 91 yards, the second longest scoring drive of the campaign. The Blue Devils had a 97-yard scoring drive against Kansas.
- It was also Duke's seventh scoring drive of 12 or more plays.
• Duke's offensive line did not allow a sack. In the past seven contests, the Blue Devils have yielded just 2.0 sacks.
- The Blue Devils entered the game with the fewest sacks allowed among FBS schools with 4.0.
• The Blue Devils also allowed just two tackles for lost yardage.
- Duke entered the game with 20 TFL allowed this season, the fewest among FBS programs.
• After committing five turnovers against Tulane and Miami, Duke has turned the ball over just once in the last four contests.
- Duke has won or tied the turnover battle in eight of nine contests this season.
- Duke entered the game with a +1.14 turnover margin, the ninth best among FBS schools.
- Duke began the game with five turnovers, tied for the second fewest among FBS programs.

• Duke has allowed fewer than 20 points in seven of the nine games this season.
- The Blue Devils are 22-3 (.880 winning percentage) under Cutcliffe when holding opponents to 20 points or fewer.
• After not recording a turnover in the first two games of the season, Duke has created 15 in the last seven games.
• In the last two games, Duke has returned eight kickoffs for 237 yards and a touchdown after having just one kickoff return for 20 yards in the previous two contests.
- The Blue Devils entered the game with the highest kickoff return average among FBS programs at 29.06 yards.
• Duke totaled 106 punt return yards and had 115 for the season entering the game. Crowder's 52-yard punt return was the longest of the year.
