What is your favorite lacrosse memory?
QC: Winning the NCHSAA state championship my senior year. We came so close my sophomore and junior seasons but fell short, and it felt amazing to finally accomplish our goal.
When did you start playing lacrosse?
QC: I started playing in fifth grade. My mom had to bribe me to go to my first practice. I was reluctant to try a new sport because I was very invested in soccer and hockey, but I fell in love instantly.
Why did you choose Duke?
QC: My father attended Duke, and it was apparent to me even at a young age how much he loved it. Duke has always had a special place in my heart, but it took me a long time to realize how truly amazing it is. There's nowhere else that such incredible academic, athletic and social cultures not only exist together but enhance one another. The university has always been a part of my family's identity, and I'm thrilled that it's now a part of my individual identity as well.
What are your goals for your collegiate career?
QC: To become the best player and person I can be and to help my teammates do the same.
Who has had the biggest impact on your life?
QC: My mom is absolutely amazing. She's the strongest person I know and she's the person I want to grow up to become. I wouldn't be the person I am today without her guidance and example.
