DURHAM, N.C.-Parents who are looking for local lacrosse camps this summer don't have to look far as the Duke men's lacrosse program still has spots available in its two residential camps. The first of the four-day sessions will be held on June 23-26. The second runs from June 28-July 1.
Duke head coach John Danowski and assistant coaches Ron Caputo and Chris Gabrielli along with current and former Duke players will run the camps that are geared towards players of all skill levels for those entering grades 7-12. The camp costs $550 and e-mail here to register for either one of these camps.
The camps combine rigorous Lacrosse training from an elite staff with a fun-filled residential experience. The focus will be on teaching skills and concepts of live game situations in order to strengthen players' confidence to make quality decisions on the field. The Varsity Elite Division, for those entering 11th and 12th grade, features a collegiate developmental program and will include session dedicated to strength & conditioning as well as college recruiting. Additional instruction is available in the goalie development program and faceoff specialty clinic. These sessions will focus on the specific skills needed to excel at both positions and will feature individual instruction. Add either of these sessions for only $50 and make your camper's experience even more rewarding!
