Seniors Casey Peters, Kyle Singler and Nolan Smith were honored on senior night at Cameron Indoor Stadium. In the four years the players have been at Duke, the Blue Devils have an overall record of 120-21 (.851) and a 50-13 (.794) record in ACC play.
Duke has now won 36 consecutive home games, the longest current streak in the NCAA. It is also tied for the third longest streak in school history. The Blue Devils are 65-2 in Cameron Indoor Stadium in the past four seasons.
The Blue Devils finished with an undefeated 17-0 record at home, matching a school record for most home victories. It marks the 20th time in school history Duke has not lost a game at home and seventh time they have gone undefeated with 15 or more games.
When playing in the state of North Carolina, Duke has won 30 consecutive games since a loss at N.C. State last season.
Duke improved to 56-4 all-time when playing Clemson in Cameron Indoor Stadium and have won 14 straight at home. The Blue Devils lead the all-time series 103-29.
The Blue Devils bounced back from a loss last Saturday at Virginia Tech and are now 3-0 when following a loss this season and 16-2 over the last four years. Duke has not lost back-to-back games since 2008-09.
This is the eighth time in school history Duke has won 27 or more games through 30 contests. It is the fourth time they have been 27-3 while they were 28-2 three times and 29-1 in 1998-99.
The Blue Devils allowed just 59 points, marking the ninth time this season they have held their opponent to under 60 points.
Duke is now 17-1 on the year when holding an opponent under 40 percent shooting for the game and 330-10 all-time under head coach Mike Krzyzewski. Clemson shot just 23.5 percent in the second half, including 1-of-12 (.083) from behind the three-point line.
It marked the 12th time Duke has grabbed 40 or more rebounds and the 21st time they have outrebounded their opponent.
All 70 of Duke's points came from the starting five as the Tigers' bench outscored the Duke reserves 16-0 in the game. The Blue Devils' bench combined for just two shot attempts, six rebounds, one assist, four turnovers and one steal in 31 total minutes.
The 20 turnovers were a season high for the Blue Devils and most since Nov. 10, 2008 when Duke had 21 turnovers against Presbyterian.
The eight blocked shots tied for the second most by Duke this season and was the fourth time they have blocked eight or more shots.
Duke and Clemson exchanged double-digit runs in the first half with the Blue Devils going on an 11-0 spurt over a span of 2:57 and the Tigers following with a 12-0 run over 2:11. The 12-point run by Clemson was the longest this season allowed by Duke. The previous high was nine points by Oregon, N.C. State and St. John's.
Sophomore Mason Plumlee blocked five shots in the game and has blocked five or more in three games this season. He had six against N.C. State and five against Marquette. He now has 12 games with two or more and leads the team with 52 total blocks for the season.
Senior Kyle Singler drew his team-leading 98th consecutive start and now owns the school record with 140 career starts. He moved past Bobby Hurley's previous record of 139 starts. His 141 career games played is now tied for seventh most with Brian Davis and Thomas Hill.
For the second straight game and third time this season Singler tallied a double-double. He now has 23 career double-doubles.
He has scored in double figures in 28 of the 30 games on the season and in 123 career games. The 123 games with 10 or more points is second on Duke's career list, breaking a tie with J.J. Redick.
The 11 rebounds gives him four games this year with 10 or more and 25 career games. He moved pass Ronnie Mayer into eighth on Duke's career rebounding list and now has 962 career rebounds.
He made 7-of-9 free throw attempts. He has gone to the free throw line at least eight times in each of the last three games.
Senior Nolan Smith notched his ACC-leading 17th game with 20 or more points and now has 34 career 20-point outings. He reached double figures in scoring for the 29th time in 30 games this season. He has 88 career games with 10 or more points.
He has attempted 20 or more shots in six games this season with Duke winning all six games.
His seven assists give him 18 games with five or more on the year.
