DURHAM, N.C.- At the annual Duke women's basketball media day recently, Blue Devil Sports Network's Steve Barnes caught up with sophomore Chelsea Gray to chat about when she first started playing basketball, what her favorite professional basketball team is and other topics.
A native of Stockton, Gray has been named a preseason candidate for the John R. Wooden Award as she enters her second year with the Blue Devils. The 5-11 guard was an All-ACC Freshman team selection a year ago. Duke is preseason ranked No. 8 nationally in the Associated Press ledger as head coach Joanne P. McCallie enters her fifth year at Duke.
The Blue Devils will host Pfeiffer on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 7:00 p.m., in an exhibition contest. Admission is free.
