Duke Faces FIU for First Time
• Duke will face FIU for the first time on Saturday. FIU began its football program in 2002 and joined the Sun Belt Conference in 2005.
• Saturday's game will mark Duke's first against a current member of the Sun Belt Conference.
• FIU has faced two ACC schools in its 10-year history, going a combined 0-5 in games against Miami and Maryland.
ACC Launches Military Appreciation Day
• The ACC has announced a conference-wide initiative to honor our nation's military throughout the 2011 ACC Football season at both the conference and institutional level.
• Duke's Military Appreciation Day will be held on Oct. 15 versus Florida State.

Bob Harris, who has served as the voice of Duke football since 1976, is approaching his 400th consecutive game with the Blue Devils.
• Harris, who will call game number 399 this week at FIU, will reach the mark with Duke's game against Florida State on October 15 at home.
Duke Defeats Tulane
• Duke amassed 484 total yards, converted all seven red zone trips into points and beat Tulane 48-27 on Saturday in Wallace Wade Stadium.

Sean Renfree threw for 278 yards and one touchdown and ran in two more scores for his second straight multi-touchdown game. Renfree completed 21-of-30 passes and did not take a single sack in the victory.

Juwan Thompson ran in his first two career touchdowns and finished with 93 total yards on 14 rushes and three receptions.
• Duke totaled 27 first downs and converted 10-of-16 third downs. The Blue Devils sustained three drives of over four minutes, including an 18-play, 75-yard march that ran 8:12 off the clock in the first half.

Charlie Hatcher anchored the defensive front with 2.0 sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss as Duke held Tulane to just 55 yards rushing and sacked quarterback Ryan Griffin three times.
