Blaum Ties for Second on European Challenge Tour

LA WANTZENAU, FRANCE -- Former Duke standout Ryan Blaum fired a 14-under 274 to finish tied for second at the Allianz European Stasbourg and earn 15,000 euro in the European Challenge Tour event.
Blaum, a two-time ACC Player of the Year and three-time All-America, recorded 11 birdies en route to an eight-under 64 in the opening round. Following rounds of 70 and 73, he posted a final round low of 67 (-5) to finish three shots back of tournament medalist Romain Wattel.
Blaum won the first two stages of European Q School last fall before advancing to the final stage and qualifying for the European Challenge Tour.
