DURHAM, N.C. – Each week during the 2010 football season, GoDuke.com will take a look back at a memorable performance by a Blue Devil in a series called Hall of Heroes.

Featured this week is former quarterback Spence Fischer. On September 18, 1993, Fischer completed 29-of-36 passes for 357 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-21 win over Army. Fischer went on to pass for 9,019 career yards, third-most in school history. In the Duke record books, Fischer ranks tied for third with 48 career touchdowns and third in attempts (1,369) and completions (786).

The Duke football team completed its spring practice session with the program's Blue & White game inside Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium. The defense (White Team), held off the offense (Blue Team) for a 26-17 victory.
