DURHAM, N.C. - Duke women's lacrosse incoming freshman Taylor Virden will write two blogs for ESPN.com detailing her experience at the Champion High School Showcase (a US Lacrosse event) at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla.
The event, which features 80 of the nation's top girls lacrosse players divided into four teams, will run July 18-19.
Fans can read Virden's first blog at: http://rise.espn.go.com/lacrosse/articles/2010/07/US-Lacrosse-girls-showcase-preview.aspx. She will post a second blog following the conclusion of the tournament.
Virden, a defender from Owings Mills, Md., will join the Blue Devils this fall after leading McDonogh School to a perfect season and No. 1 ranking in the ESPN RISE FAB50 this past season.
