GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Duke men's golf team placed a league-best five players on the 2010 All-ACC Academic team as announced on Monday by Commissioner John Swofford. The Blue Devils top five players; Adam Long, Wes Roach, Spencer Anderson, Brinson Paolini and Julian Suri were each named to the team.
Long was named to the team for the fourth time in his career, while Roach, Anderson, Paolini and Suri collected the academic honors for the first time. To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.
Head coach Jamie Green has now had 14 academic all-conference performers in his last five years as a head coach. Green's previous best was three academic all-conference selections in 2005-06 in his third year at Charlotte.
