Coaches Help at Duke Children?s Hospital Radiothon

DURHAM, N.C. – Helping sick children is a team effort. At Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center the teams working on each patient are often huge…the cases complex…the results, often miraculous.
MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM and Capitol Broadcasting dedicate three days out of the year to celebrate this team effort. Tuesday Feb. 9- Thursday Feb. 11 is a time for families to share their stories of courage, hope and miracles. And we will hear about the amazing care they've received for their children at our very own Duke Children's, a world-renowned hospital that is right here at our doorstep.
Duke men's basketball head coach Mike Krzyzewski, women's basketball head coach Joanne P. McCallie and football head coach David Cutcliffe have all signed up to lend their voices of support to fire up listeners to get in the game. And together with the team from MIX 101.5 they will cheer Duke Children's on to victory.
Coach K joined the Radiothon this morning offering a number of incentives to call in and donate. Some incentives include: $400 for a Coach K-signed basketball; $500 for a team-signed basketball; $500 for personalized, signed copy of Coach K's new book The Gold Standard; $2,500 to attend a Closed Practice Session.
Tune in to hear Coach P Wednesday at 9 a.m. and Coach Cutcliffe Thursday at 6:30 a.m., and call in your pledge for the youngsters at Duke Children's at 1-866-684-1015. You can also pledge online at dukechildrens.org.
