Team Notes:
- Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski moved past former North Carolina head coach Dean Smith for the most ACC road victories in conference history on Sunday. Krzyzewski earned his 134th career ACC road win and is now 134-86 (.609) all-time on the road in league play.
- The Blue Devils earned their 25th victory of the season, marking the third straight season and 19th time under Krzyzewski they have won 25 or more games in a season. Overall there have been 22 seasons in Duke history with at least 25 victories.
- Duke won its fourth straight game against Virginia and has now won 13 of the last 14 games in the series between the two schools.
- The Blue Devils improved to 8-0 in the month of February as they are currently on their longest winning streak of the season. Coach K has a 178-66 all-time record in the month of February.
- Duke held Virginia to 49 points, the fourth opponent that the Blue Devils have held under 50 points this season and second in ACC play. Clemson scored just 47 against Duke on Jan. 23.
- For the game Virginia shot just .314 (16-of-51), marking the 16th time Duke has held an opponent under 40 percent from the field.
- Virginia shot just .167 (2-of-12) from behind the three-point line, the third straight opponent that has shot under 20 percent from deep against Duke. On the year the Blue Devils are holding opponents to a school record .267 from beyond the arc.
- Two Duke players scored at least 20 points, marking the 14th game this season that two or more players have scored 20 points in the same game for the Blue Devils. Duke has had a 20-point scorer in 24 games on the year.
- Duke committed just eight turnovers, the seventh time this season they have tallied less than 10 giveaways.
Player Notes:
- Senior Jon Scheyer has started in 36 consecutive games and in 97 career contests.
- Scheyer extended his streak to 22 consecutive games with a made three-point field goal and leads the team with 83 treys this season. He has made three or more in seven straight games and 18 overall contests this season.
- With his 20-point game, Scheyer has scored at least 20 points in 14 games this season and 29 career games. His 14 games with at least 20 points rank tied for second most in the ACC this season with nine of them coming in conference play.
- Scheyer recorded his 104th career game with 10 or more points. The 104 double-figure scoring games ranks 10th all-time at Duke. He has scored in double figures in 28 of the 29 games on the year.
- With 15 points, Scheyer moved past Jeff Mullins and Dick Groat into 15th on the school's all-time scoring charts.
- Scheyer matched a career high with five steals, the fourth time in his career and third time this season he has recorded five steals in a game. He had five steals against both Georgetown and Miami earlier this season.
- Scheyer climbed up Duke's career minutes played list, passing Shane Battier for sixth all-time with 4,313 career minutes.
- Junior Kyle Singler played in his 100th career game on Sunday, becoming the fourth current Duke player (Scheyer, Thomas & Zoubek) and 66th player in school history to play in at least 100 games.
- Singler extended his consecutive starts streak to 57 games and has now started in 99 career contests.
- Singler tallied 21 points to give him 11 games this season with 20 or more points and 26 career games. Of his 11 20-point games, seven have come in ACC play. He reached double figures in scoring for the 26th time this season.
- Junior Nolan Smith failed to score in double figures for just the second time this season, finishing with a season-low five points. He had his streak of 13 straight games with 10 or more points come to an end.
