A mechanical engineering major, Tweed-Kent has been a leader in the Blue Devils midfield this season. He leads the team with a career-best 11 assists and has 15 overall points. His 11 assists are the most in the league and rank sixth nationally. A starter in 17 of 18 games, the native of Pittsfield, Mass., registered a career-high three assists in Duke's win over Furman and has three goals for the season, including the game-winner against Boston College.
Equally successful off the field, Tweed-Kent was voted to the All-ACC Academic team in 2009 and has earned Dean's List honors all four semesters. He is a member of Touching Tiny Lives Foundation and currently is the outreach chair for Habitat for Humanity.
Duke (9-5-4) is making its 24th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and will host Coastal Carolina in the first round on Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. Tickets are available for $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens.
