Finley started the week by tallying his 14th goal of the season as Duke ran past Furman 4-0 in a midweek contest. Four days later at Virginia Tech, the native of Lumberton, N.J., scored three times to help Duke post a commanding 6-1 win over the Hokies. The three goals pushed his season total to 17 to tie Pato Gutierrez and Ali Curtis for the Duke single-season goals record. He also dished out an assist in the win to finish with a seven-point night in Blacksburg.
With 37 points on the year, Finley is tied for eighth on the Duke single-season points list. The 37 points are the most by a Blue Devil since Curtis registered 39 in 2000. Tom Kain holds the all-time Duke record, notching 46 points in 1982.
Duke finishes its regular season schedule on Nov. 5, hosting Wake Forest at Koskinen Stadium at 7 p.m.
