DURHAM, N.C. - GoDuke.com sat down with freshman defensive tackle Sydney Sarmiento on Thursday to talk about why he came to Duke and what he plans to major in.

GoDuke.com: Why Did You Choose Duke?
Sydney Sarmiento: It was the education and I wanted to be a part of something different with helping to change the program.
GD: Any Brothers or Sisters?
SS: I have two older brothers
GD: What number did you wear in high school?
SS: No. 82 ... I wanted to keep it when I got here since it was available.
GD: What was your favorite NFL team and player growing up?
SS: I didn't really have a favorite team or player. I just liked to watch the games and the defensive linemen.
GD: What websites do you visit most?
SS: Facebook and my Duke email.
GD: What do you like to do outside of football?
SS: I just like to hang out with my friends and meet with people.
GD: Who is your roommate this year?
SS: Zach Greene.
GD: After football what job would you like to have?
SS: I am not sure it is early but I am thinking about majoring in Spanish along with another major.
