DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke women's lacrosse team has announced the dates for the 2009 Duke Winter Camp and the 2009 Coaches Clinic. The winter camp will be held Dec. 27-30, while the Coaches Clinic is scheduled for Dec. 27-29. Click Here to Register.
Winter Camp

The Duke Winter Camp is being offered for the serious and advanced lacrosse player. It is geared with special emphasis on preparing standout 9th - 12th graders who wish to continue progressing at an elite level. This camp will feature an outstanding staff consisting of top Division I head and assistant coaches. Our training sessions will focus on teaching the skills, concepts and game situations that will give players the confidence to make quality decisions on the field and ultimately prepare you to play at the next level. Loads of scrimmage opportunities in small game and full field situations with and against staff will be held each day along with tournament play each evening. The camp also features sessions on Strength & Conditioning, Speed Training, Nutrition and Sports Psychology.
Duke Goalie School (in conjunction with the Winter Camp)

Duke Assistant Coach Alex Kahoe will train players just like the Blue Devil goalies. Duke offers separate training sessions that focus on quickness and reaction skills, technique and special situations within the Winter Camp. Goalies will also have opportunities to participate in all scrimmage situations and will be placed on tournament teams for evening play.
Coaches Clinic

The Duke Winter Coaches Clinic is being offered for anyone looking to learn more about the game which may include: High and Middle School Coaches, Club Coaches, League Coaches and parents. All aspects of the game will be covered from offensive plays, team defense, midfield transition and goalkeeping. Special sessions will include Strength & Conditioning, Speed Training, Nutrition and Sports Psychology. Sessions will be a mix of classroom work, video breakdown, hands on sessions and coach with a college coach. Registration will run from 12-2 p.m. on December 27th and checkout will be at 3 p.m. on December 29th. All participants in the Coaches Clinic will stay at the Washington Duke Inn, which is right across the street from the playing fields.
