PRAGUE, Czech Republic ? Former Duke standout Caroline Cryer scored five goals and added two assists to help the United States to a 26-12 victory over Japan in 2009 Federation of International Lacrosse Women's World Cup action in Prague, Czech Republic on Saturday.
The U.S. improves to 3-0 in the event and will play defending world champion Australia at 5:30 a.m. ET on Monday.
Also figuring into the U.S. scoring on Saturday was rising Duke junior Sarah Bullard with two goals and former Blue Devil star Katie Chrest with one tally. The Americans received a game-high six goals from Lindsey Munday.
In goal, former Duke keeper Megan Huether received her first starting assignment of the tournament and responded with six saves.
