Robinson Named Student-Athlete Of The Week

DURHAM, N.C. ? Jessi Robinson of the Duke women's tennis team has been named the Ronald McDonald House Charities Student-Athlete of the Week.
A senior from Rehoboth Beach, Del., Robinson posted a crucial comeback victory in her singles match against UNC's Laura Reichert on Wednesday to tie the team score at 3-3 and set up a thrilling finish to the contest. Ninth-ranked Duke went on to top the Tar Heels 4-3.
Robinson dropped her first set to Reichert 6-3, but quickly rebounded to win the next two sets 6-1, 6-0 for the victory. The win was her fifth in six ACC matches this spring.
After Robinson's win tied the score, teammate Reka Zsilinszka pulled out a third-set decision in her singles match to deliver the game-winning point.
The victory gave Duke a 15-3 overall record and a 5-1 mark in the ACC while capping off a string of nine straight road matches.
Duke completes the regular season with five straight home matches, beginning Apr. 4-5 with Virginia and Virginia Tech.
