DURHAM, N.C.?The Duke University men and women's lacrosse camp Web sites are up and running for those who would like to register online for the summer camps. Both teams hold three different camps depending on the camper's age.
Registration for the 2009 summer camps started on Jan. 1 through each of the respective Web sites. The Duke women's lacrosse camps can be found online at: www.dukelacrossecamp.com, while the men's is available at www.dukelacrossecampforboys.com. Each Web site features online registration, information about each camp, forms, directions, and much more.
The first session for boys is an evening commuter camp on June 10-13. Session II is an overnight instructional camp from June 26-29, while Session III is a team instructional camp running from June 30-July 3. For more information on these sessions, click here.
For the girls, the first session opens on July 22-25. The second session will be held July 29-Aug. 1. Session I features two levels in Blue Devil Camp and White Camp. Blue Devil Camp is geared towards players in grades 7-9 who want a developmental-style camp. The White Camp is for serious and advanced players in ninth or 10th grade. The Duke men's lacrosse team kicks its season off at home on Feb. 14 versus Bucknell at 12 p.m. The Blue Devil women's squad hosts the English National Team in a scrimmage on Feb. 6 and opens their 2009 schedule on Feb. 13 at Denver.
