Duke donned throwback jerseys and helmets for today's game. The Blue Devils wore blue pants and replica blue jerseys of the 1938 “Iron Dukes” team which went undefeated, untied and unscored upon. The helmets were white with a blue stripe down the middle and numbers on the back. The helmets were without the Iron Duke “D” on the side and pitchfork stickers on the back.

Starting Streaks
Long snapper Casey Hales made his team-leading 44th consecutive start. Matt Rumsey extended his starts streak to 33 straight games, earning the start at center. Junior wide receiver Eron Riley earned his 23rd straight starting nod. Three players have started 22 straight games with Zach Maurides and Rob Schirmann each starting on the offensive line and Vince Oghobaase playing defensive tackle at the start. Thaddeus Lewis has now started in 21 consecutive games. Charles Robinson started for the first time since the second week of the season when he started at Virginia.
Lewis to Riley
Thaddeus Lewis connected with Eron Riley on a 64-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter. The two have now combined for nine touchdowns this season and 12 touchdowns over the past two years.
Lewis Extends Touchdown Streak
The 64-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter gave Thaddeus Lewis a touchdown pass in 12 straight games. He has 19 touchdown passes this season and 30 in his career. He is five touchdowns away from Duke's single season record.
Riley's Touchdowns and Big Plays
The 64-yard pass from Thaddeus Lewis to Eron Riley was the 29th passing play of 21 or more yards this season. Riley has caught 13 passes of 20 or more yards to lead the team and has five grabs of longer than 50 yards. Riley now has nine touchdown receptions this season and 14 in his career. Riley finished the game with three catches for 74 yards and one touchdown.
Boyette Scores Second Touchdown
Junior running back Re'quan Boyette scored from 11 yards out after a blocked punt for his second rushing touchdown of the season. He also scored a touchdown at Navy earlier in the year. He now has five career rushing touchdowns and matched his career high of two set last season.
Tauiliili Records Interception
Michael Tauiliili intercepted a pass and returned it 14 yards in the first quarter. It was his third career interception with all three coming this season. He has now caused a turnover in four games this season and has been a part of five takeaways, including three interceptions, a fumble recovery and a caused fumble. In his career he has caused eight turnovers with five forced fumbles and three interceptions.
Leon Wright Scores Touchdown
Sophomore cornerback Leon Wright recovered a fumble and returned it 24 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter. It was his first career touchdown and the first fumble return for a touchdown for Duke since November 8, 1997 when Darius Clark took one in from five yards out at Clemson.
Davis and Akinbiyi Cause Fumbles
Chris Davis caused his third fumble of the year in the first quarter. The Blue Devils were unable to recover the fumble but Davis now has four caused fumbles in his career. Greg Akinbiyi caused the fumble that led to Wright's touchdown. It was the first career forced fumble for Akinbiyi.
Tauiliili Moves into Seventh on Tackles for Loss List
Michael Tauiliili had one tackle for loss on Saturday to move into a tie for seventh on Duke's career tackles for loss list. He moved past Kevin Lewis and is now tied with David Wafle for seventh place with 31 career tackles for loss.
Double Digit Tackles
Michael Tauiliili had a team-high 13 tackles to go with one tackles for a loss, 0.5 sacks and one interception. It was his 11th career double digit tackle game and fourth this season. Vincent Rey posted 11 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss to give him his sixth game this season with 10 or more tackles. Catron Gainey chipped in a career-high 10 tackles as well in the contest.
Blocked Punt
True freshman Tony Jackson blocked a punt in the third quarter. It was his first career blocked kick and Duke's fourth blocked kick of the season. In the 49 games with Ted Roof as the head coach Duke has now blocked 17 kicks.
Next Game
Duke will take to the road for a showdown in South Bend, Ind. next weekend. They will take on Notre Dame with a 2:30 p.m. kickoff. The game will be televised nationally on NBC.
