CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Ali Hausfeld tossed up 46 assists and knocked down a career-high six service aces to lead the 14th-ranked Duke volleyball team to a 3-0 (30-19, 30-26, 34-32) victory over Boston College Friday evening at Power Gymnasium.

Hausfeld, the nation's leader in assists per game, notched a double-double with 11 digs and contributed six kills on eight errorless attacks for a team-high .750 hitting percentage. The senior setter also helped out on two of Duke's 12 blocks and led the Blue Devils (17-4, 12-1 ACC) to a collective hitting percentage of .287. Sophomore Rachael Moss led all players with 19 kills, while senior middle blocker Carrie DeMange posted her 14th consecutive double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs.

Audrey Eichler led Boston College (10-13, 4-9 ACC) with 15 kills and a .464 hitting percentage, while Kelsey Johnson also reached double figures with 10 kills.

Hausfeld chalked up four of her aces in the opening 30-19 game one victory, while also contributing points with a kill and a block. Moss connected on five kills in the opener, while Sue Carls was a perfect 4-of-4 attacking. Duke fell behind 7-2 after an early Boston College rally, but posted seven consecutive points to turn the tables for a 9-7 lead. Boston College would rally back to come within one, but Duke began to run away with the game following an 8-3 run. After staking a five-point advantage at 21-16, the Blue Devils rattled off five straight points to run their lead to double figures at 26-16, a figure that stood for the remainder of the game.

Moss continued playing with a hot hand in game two and recorded six kills on 11 errorless attacks in the 30-26 victory. Hausfeld served up 17 assists to lead Duke to a .405 hitting percentage, while the Blue Devils committed just four attacking errors compared to 21 kills. The Eagles matched Duke's offensive output with a .341 hitting percentage and 18 kills, but failed to overcome an early deficit. A 3-3 tie would be the only point in the match that Duke did not hold the lead, while the Blue Devils eventually staked an eight-point lead at 20-12. Boston College fought back to within two, however, following a 10-4 run that brought the score to 24-22. The Blue Devils would regroup after a timeout, however, and squeaked out a 6-4 run to close out the game.

After a combined 11 kills over the first two games, Moss capped her performance with eight more in the final frame. Hausfeld matched her game-two total with 17 more assists, while DeMange added 11 points with five kills, four blocks and a pair of service aces. Duke trailed by as much as six points at 16-10, but fought back with an 8-2 rally to tie the game at 18-18. The Eagles reclaimed a momentary three-point lead before the teams locked in at 29-29. Duke gained the advantage after a Boston College attack error before Eichler knocked down a kill to knot the score at 30-30. DeMange put Duke back on top with her third kill of the match and came through again after Abigail Hasebroock tied the score once again for the Blue Devils. Johnson responded for the Eagles with another kill to erase Duke's match point, but Moss put Duke back on top with a kill before the Blue Devils clinched the match after forcing an attack error.

Duke will continue its road slate this Sunday, Oct. 28 with a televised 1 p.m. bout against Maryland in College Park, Md. CSTV will broadcast the match on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 8 p.m.
