DURHAM, N.C.? For the third straight session, Duke University rising senior Rebecca Moros will continue her training with the Under-21 United States Women's National Team from June 11-18 in Maryland as the squad will play three contests against W-League teams next week.
The team will play the Virginia Majestics on June 12 at Wakefield High School, New Jersey Wildcats on June 14 at the Maryland SoccerPlex and will take on the Washington Freedom on June 17 at the SoccerPlex.
Moros, a product of Larchmont, N.Y., also trained with the Under-21 National Team from March 19-26 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., and in May traveled to Holland and Germany for training where the squad won each of the three contests.
“The training sessions have been very educational for me,” said Moros. “The girls on the team are really good and I have been able to learn a lot from the training, competition and from the coaching staff. Overall, it has been a very enjoyable experience.”
Last season as a junior, Moros finished the season with four goals, four assists and 12 points with the two biggest goals coming against No. 1 ranked North Carolina on Oct. 9 in Chapel Hill, N.C., as the Blue Devils defeated the Tar Heels, 2-1. She was a first team All-ACC selection, first team Soccer Buzz All-Region honoree as well as honorable mention Soccer Buzz All-America.
