Duke Remains In Second Place At Bryan National Collegiate

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. - Amanda Blumenherst shot a second-day best four-under 68 and Duke remained in second place at the Bryan National Collegiate just two strokes behind Georgia after action Saturday here at the 6,210-Yard, Par 72, Bryan Park Champions Course.
Duke, playing with just four players as Anna Grzebien is playing with amateur status at the LPGA Kraft Nabisco Championship this week, fired a second-day total of seven-over-par 298 and sits in second place with a two day total of 17-over-par 593, just two strokes behind Georgia (591).
Blumenherst recorded six birdies on the day and has a two-day-total of two-over-par 146. Blumenherst is tied for seventh place but just two strokes behind teammate Liz Janangelo and two others tied for first place with a two-day total of even par 144.
Janangelo struggled early in her round and sat at four-over after just three holes but rebounded and shot one under over the final 10 holes on the day.
Jennifer Pandolfi rebounded from a first day score of eight over to shoot just one over par Saturday while Jennie Lee slipped a bit from her one over par total in round one to a five-over-par performance Saturday. Lee is tied for 15th at six-over par while Pandolfi is tied for 32nd at nine-over par.
