Bercek & Plotkin Fall At ITA National Indoors

COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Duke duo of senior Daniela Bercek and freshman Elizabeth Plotkin fell in first round action at the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships on Thursday.
The two fell to Celia Durkin and Jessica Nguyen of Stanford by a score of 8-3, and will compete in back draw action beginning on Friday. Bercek and Plotkin, who are ranked 25th in the country, are set to meet third-ranked Catrina and Christian Thompson of Notre Dame at 9 a.m.
Bercek and Plotkin were selected to the championship field on Oct. 25 as a result of their semifinal finish at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships. The two are 5-3 this fall.
ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships run through Sunday, Nov. 5. The event is being hosted by The Ohio State University, with all matches to be played at The Racquet Club Of Columbus. For more information please visit www.ITATennis.com.
