CORNING, N.Y. - Duke University's Brittany Lang fired her fourth straight round of under-par golf on Sunday to finish tied for 15th in the LPGA Corning Classic in Corning, N.Y., which was being played at the 6,062-Yard, Par 72 Corning Country Club.
Lang, a McKinney, Texas, product, was the lowest amateur to finish the event and the top-20 finish was the highest in her career on the LPGA Tour. She finished with a four-day total of 281 with rounds of 71-71-69-70. Lang turned in five birdies on the day to go along with three bogeys.
Jimin Kang won the tournament with a four-day total of 273.
She is coming off being named National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) First Team All-America as she finished tied for third, individually, at the NCAA Championship and led the Duke Blue Devils to a five-stroke victory at the NCAA Championship.
