The Rochester franchise made Duke's Kevin Cassese the number two overall pick of the annual Major League Lacrosse College Draft on Thursday night while Blue Devil teammate Kevin Brennan was a fourth round selection by the Long Island organization.
Cassese was selected by Rochester just after Bridgeport made Virginia's Chris Rotelli the top pick of the draft. Brennan was the 23rd overall pick.
Brennan and Cassese completed their collegiate careers this spring at Duke, helping the Blue Devils to a four-year record of 38-25 with three NCAA Tournament berths and two ACC Championships.
