The Duke University women's lacrosse team returns home on Saturday, April 26 to take on Davidson at 12:00 p.m. The Blue Devils, 12-3 on the season, are ranked fourth in the latest IWLCA and Inside Lacrosse polls, while Davidson enters the contest with a 1-14 ledger.
Offensively, Duke is led by the trio of Katie Chrest, Lauren Gallagher and Kate Kaiser. Chrest leads the team with 47 points and 15 assists, while ranking second with 32 goals. Gallagher has collected 45 points, including a team-high 33 goals, while Kaiser has 31 and six assists. Kaiser also has 32 caused turnovers and a team-high 24 draw controls.
Junior Meghan Miller continues her solid all-around play with a team best 35 caused turnovers, 47 ground balls, 19 draw controls and eight goals. Meghan Walters, a junior defender, is also playing well; ranking among the team leaders in caused turnovers (28), ground balls (47) and draw controls (23).
The Blue Devils lead the all-time series with Davidson, 7-0. Last year, Duke toppled the Wildcats 18-6 with Corinne Broesler registering three goals and Meg Barnet adding two goals and an assist.
