Duke University women's lacrosse player Lauren Gallagher (West Chester, Pa.) received 2002 Warrior/Inside Lacrosse Division I All-America honors. Gallagher, a junior midfielder, earned second team accolades.
Gallagher helped lead the Blue Devils to a 10-8 season, including a fourth consecutive trip to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament, pacing the team in goals (38), assists (11), points (49) and shooting percentage (.494). The junior midfielder is a two-time All-ACC and All-South Region selection as well as a 2002 Brine IWLCA/USL Division I second team All-America. Gallagher already ranks among the Duke career leaders in goals (103 - 4th), assists (39 - 3rd) and points (142 - 3rd). Last season, she earned second team IWLCA All-America and first team USLacrosse All-America honors.
