On the heels of winning the team championship at The Nelson this past weekend, the Duke men's golf team is ranked sixth in the country in the latest national rankings published by Golfweek.
Clemson holds the top spot having posted a 24-1 record against top-25 teams. The Tigers are followed by UNLV, Wake Forest, Florida, North Carolina, Duke, Texas Christian, Augusta State, Illinois and UCLA.
Duke has four top-five finishes to its credit this season having placed fourth at The Ridges, second at both the Windon Memorial and Duke Golf Classic and first at The Nelson. The Blue Devils are 7-5 versus top-25 teams and 19-5 against top-50 squads.
Individually, senior Leif Olson is ranked 28th nationally while freshman Ryan Blaum is ranked 55th. Olson, who has picked up two individual titles this fall at The Ridges and The Nelson, owns a stroke average of 71.4. Blaum has four top-20 showings and has compiled a stroke average of 72.2
Duke is next in action this weekend at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C.
