EUGENE, Ore. -- Duke senior Jillian Schwartz placed second at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships over the weekend. Schwartz vaulted 13'09.25" which is a new school record. Schwartz set the previous mark earlier this season with an attempt of 13'7.25" which she set at the ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 19th.
Schwartz was the lone Blue Devil appearing at the National Championships. She now owns the ACC meet and overall record in the women's pole vault.
