DURHAM, N.C. -- Duke University junior goalkeeper Kristen Foster has been selected Warrior/Inside Lacrosse Player of the Week after guiding the second-ranked Blue Devils to a pair of wins over 11th-ranked James Madison and sixth-ranked Dartmouth last week.
Foster, a native of Ellicott City, Md., posted 10 saves in Duke's four overtime victory, 7-6, over James Madison on Thursday. She had key saves in overtime including a free position shot save in the second overtime.
On Sunday, she netted six saves including a key stop with eight minutes remaining as the Blue Devils went on to prevail 9-8 and conclude the regular season with its best record in the history of the program, 14-3.
