In the first game, North Carolina (10-1) dominated the entire match as they outshot TCU 32-1 while earning 15 corner kicks to zero for the Horned Frogs.
North Carolina jumped out to an 1-0 lead at 29:39 when senior midfielder Raven McDonald headed in junior midfielder Anne Remy's shot which deflected off the crossbar. The Tarheels would make it 2-0 at 42:27 when senior back Kalli Kamholz scored on an assist from freshman midfielder Maggie Tomecka.
The Tarheels scored two early goals to start the second half. McDonald scored her second of the game at 46:49 and Tomecka added her first of two goals at 49:02 on an assist from freshman midfielder Jordan Walker to put North Carolina up 4-0.
The Tarheels would add two late goals as senior Meridath Florance scored on an assist from senior back Jena Gluegel at 71:45 while Tomecka scored her second goal of the game as she headed home freshman Cartheran Reddick's corner kick at 87:09. With the loss, TCU drops to 5-5-1.
In the final game of the classic, William & Mary upset the host No. 8 ranked Duke 2-1.
For most of the first half, both teams traded scoring opportunities as shots were even between the Blue Devils and the Tribe. William & Mary struck first at 44:22 when freshman midfielder Tara Flint scored on an assist from sophomore midfielder Danielle Scalzo to give the Tribe a 1-0 halftime lead.
William & Mary added another goal at 55:38 when junior back Janet Sury beat Duke goalkeeper Thora Helgadottir (Kopavogur, Iceland) to secure the victory for the Tribe. Duke scored there only goal of the game at 66:47 when sophomore midfielder Carly Fuller (Tualatin, Ore.) headed home senior midfielder Kim Daws (Northridge, Cal.) cross to cut the score to 2-1.
Duke's rallied late as they pulled up all 11 players but Fuller's shot managed to sail just over the crossbar with 30 second left in the game. With the win, William & Mary improves to 7-3 while Duke drops to 8-1.
