Khalihah Este-Shehu saw her fourth double-figure scoring game with 13 points for the Dukes. Beth Friday tied the game-lead with eight rebounds while Shiri Sharon tied the game-lead with six assists.
Radford's Catrice Horton led three Highlanders with 13 points followed by Kylie Williamson with 12 and Amanda Maks with 10 points. Horton and Lindsey St. John each added eight rebounds.
Duquesne opened the game on a 9-2 run before the Highlanders knotted the game at 16-16 with 10:31 remaining. Radford then went on a 17-6 spree for a 33-20 lead with 3:03 ticking. Duquesne saw its shooting go cold as they connected on just 4-12 shots in the final nine minutes. Radford held a 37-26 lead at the intermission.
The Dukes chipped away at Radford's lead out-scoring the Highlanders 31-20 to tie the game at 57-57 with 5:31 to go. RU took a 60-57 edge with 2:52 ticking on two St. John free throws before Duquesne grabbed its only lead of the second frame (61-60) on a made basket by Vander Zanden followed by a steal and lay-up from Sharon at the 2:10 mark. St. John connected on two more free throws and capped off the game with a made basket for the 64-61 edge. The Dukes called time-out to set up the three-point play with :08 showing but came up short as Sharon's trey bounced off the rim.
Duquesne (2-2) returns to the Palumbo this Wednesday, November 29 as they host cross-time rival Pitt in a 7:05 tip.
