Football Player Flowers To Leave Duke

DURHAM, N.C. (Jan. 12) - Richmond Flowers, a member of the Blue Devil football team the last four seasons, is leaving Duke to transfer to the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga this spring.

"Richmond is no longer a member of our football team," said head coach Carl Franks. "We hope this is the right decision for Richmond."

"After prayerful consideration of the goals that I have for my future, I have concluded that it is time for me to make a change," Flowers said. "I will forever be appreciative and grateful for the opportunity to attend this university."

Flowers has one year of eligibility remaining and will join the UT-C football team this fall.
